Armor Contract Installs Large Scale Blast and Paint System

The great scale at which Armor is equipped to operate in its 315,000 s.f. metal fabrication facility allows for both efficient and high quality painting and blasting for single units, or full production runs.  Armor’s existing finish paint booth (30’ W x 20’L x 10’H) is now complemented with the new top coat booth (23’W x 30’L x 14”H), primer booth (23’W x 30’L x 14’H), shot blast booth (26’ W x 44’L x 14’H) and a steam cleaning booth (24’W x 36’L x 14’H). Beck states:”Essentially, we could pull a 30 foot school bus into the paint, primer or blast booth with room to spare. This is great for finishing oversize products or painting multiple items, suspended from the monorail, in a single run”.

In addition to excellent top coat and primer systems constructed to apply any low VOC wet coatings, the ability to provide C.A.R.C, or Chemical Agent Resistant Coating, sets Armor apart from others in the Midwest market.  C.A.R.C is available in various standard colors, and meets MIL-DTL-53072 and TTC-490 specifications.   The company also provides its customer base with powder coating finishing services at its nearby facility in Lebanon, Ohio.

In keeping with Armor’s “green” initiatives, Armor’s coating operations maintain environmentally friendly standards, with all of the equipment is EPA certified and meets or exceeds state and federal regulations.  Armor operates with a strong emphasis on recycling and waste reduction.
